| Hearing Aids Never, never purchase hearing aids without first having your hearing evaluated by a university-trained, licensed audiologist! Why? Because audiologists are trained to assess, diagnose and rehabilitate hearing loss. Not just any audiologist will do. We not only analyze your hearing loss, but also your lifestyle, so we can properly determine the right hearing aid for you. This includes the proper prescription, the style, shape size, circuitry and sound processing that you need. There are behind-the-ear, in-the-ear, in-the-canal, receiver-in-canal, and completely in-the-canal styles to choose from. At the Hearing Center, we have the expertise to determine which type of hearing aid is best for you and your lifestyle. No matter what your hearing problem, there's a hearing solution just right for you...and we'll help you find it! We are providing training for staff at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward as part of their continuing education program. We are presenting ideas on how to communicate with a hearing-impaired patient, how to identify hearing loss during the assessment process, and a FAQ session on all you need to know about hearing aids.
Our goal is to provide them with the ability to better communicate with patients during their stay at St. Rose Hospital.
Please see our Hearing Resources tab for newly uploaded ALD Catalog and Emergency Kit List. These are just a few extra tools compiled for you by the staff of The Hearing Center of Castro Valley. Please call (510) 537-4211 with any questions!
